Moisturizer required for long time..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh answering your query.

It appears to be xerotic or dry skin which is more common during winters and more in limbs. It may run in families. Please check for other members also.

There is no perfect cure for this as skin regeneration is continuous process and is faster in your case. However some of the remedies of use are
- Bath oils during bath.
- Use of good quality cold creams immediately after bath as the effect lasts long.
- Use cotton cloth or non irritant clothes.
- Use of creams with essential fatty acids and vitamin E oils
- Use liberally creams also when required.
- You can have foods rich in essential fatty acids, vitamin A
- Use antihistamines if itching is more.

Do not irritate skin or scratch which can exacerbate your problem.

Your local doctor will know about the products that I mentioned. If it's not feasible let me know I can suggest few of those.

You can get back if required.

Brief Answer:
Some more remedies.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thank you for follow up query.

Since it is familial disease it is not easy to cure it. It can only be controlled also skin regeneration is a continuous procedure. There is no instant remedy. We can understand your anxiety.
Apart from previous suggestions specific advices:

You can use emollient creams like Cetraben or efaderm or emoderm. This you can use liberally if used alone. You can use some keratolytics like salicylix-6, but you combine little of this with emollient cream and apply.
You can use less of them when less symptoms or scaling. You can use emollient lotions or any natural oils preferred by you during lean phase.
Moisturizing soaps or cleansers also can be used.

Thank you
Dr Bharatesh
