Question : I have a dull pain in my back near the right shoulder blade. Pain is persistent but not very intense.
Brief Answer:
muscle, tendon strain
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Pain near the shoulder blades is often caused by strained muscles or tendons. Ibuprofen, heat rest and stretches could be helpful. If this is not working then seeing a physical therapist could help you get the problem straightened out. if you have had any trauma to the shoulder or back then you should see a doctor for exam and possible xray. If there has been no trauma then you can try some of these treatments and if it does not get better in a few weeks then see your doctor. I hope you are feeling better soon,
