Question : I have a 2 month old baby boy and he has an ear infection and was just put on augmentin yesterday I am also giving him infant tyleno and the ear drops to help with pain. He had a cough and bad congestion. Just now when I changed his diaper the stool is a lighter shade of yellow than normal and is very stringy? I'm concerned as I have never seen this before and is different from the normal yellow seedy stools. He is exclusively breast feed ?! I can't reach my pediatrician.?!

The color and the consistency of the stool is because of augmentin.
Please do not worry,it is reversible.
As soon as augmentin will be stopped, it will come back to normal.
If frequency increases or consistency becomes watery, you can add lactobacilli combination.
