Question: Hi my name is XXXXXXX I'm 20 years of age, I've been playing rugby league for 13 years now I haven't broken anything but I've dislocated my elbow 3 years ago and I've recently realised my shoulder blade is pushed up, I can feel it positioned high definitely noticeable by viewing and by comparing to the other side and when I lift my arm I can feel my tendon popping over the top of my shoulder blade and there's a tingling sensation?

Brief Answer:
Mri required

Detailed Answer:
hi and welcome.
this may be humeroacromial instability or caused by chronic irritation of shoulder rotary manchete. there doesn't need to be directed trauma at all,it may occur after repeated minor traumas especially in active sportsmen. in most cases ,there is no need for surgical procedure but if you plan to do sport professionally then you should do mri scan of shoulder and visit orthopedic surgeon after this is done. wish you good health. Regards
