Question : Yes I have had elevated Ast and Alt blood tests. At the beginning almost 9 months ago they were both in the 80's. After approx 6 weeks they dropped to the 50's and then after another 6 weeks dropped to the early 40's. I have just had them done again and to my disbelief had an Ast of 195 and alt of 66, ratio of 3. After an appointment t today I couldn't figure it out why as I have hardly drank. I then realised that approx 18 hours before my tests I had a migraine and had taken 3 zapain tablets, 1500mg in total. Could it be this that has given me these results?

Brief Answer:
Could be due to the meds

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.

Yes, those medicines could have led to the rise of the liver enzymes. I would still insist you to keep your alcohol intake in check. Otherwise I do not think that there is much to worry.

Regards
