Question : I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, however, my MD is worried because I've had an elevated CRP level for 6 months now. I've taken several rounds of steroids, which brings it down some, but as soon as I'm off its back up. Today, it at 12. What else could be causing it?

                                    Brief Answer:
May not directly.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
It may not directly affect CRP but once your symptoms reduce, the cyclic process (When you are in pain anxiety and restless increases inflammatory process) goes down, it will go down some what.
Less pain will give you good sleep,
will give you less pain,
will lower the anxiety and stress and in turn lower the CRP.
