Question : Hello doctor... my first day of last menstrual period was 13th March 2015, and since we are trying for baby i wanted to know how soon can i test my pregnancy? also, i have bloated stomch and very less nasuatic feeling. I hve been detected by TSH level 18 and i am on medication now... can i still conceive?

I can understand your concern here.

You can go for a home urine pregnancy test as early as 14 days after sexual intercourse, 6-7 days after implantation, 3-4 days before your missed period date and 7 days after your missed period date.

In my opinion you should go for a home urine pregnancy test after 7 days of your mised period date to avoid false negative results.

A beta hcg blood test can be positive earlier than urine test and it is more confirmatory.

Your tsh is quite high but as you are already taking medication for it, you can conceive.

You should continue your medicine for thyroid and regulate it to maintain your tsh level below 2.5.

hello doc one more question... my ovulation period was 27th Mar to 29th Mar.. me and my hubby had relation from 23rd march to 30th march everyday. Any chances to be positive pregnancy test?

Good morning doctor.. i did the home pregnancy test today morning at 4.30 am. Got negative result. I am very disappointed. can i go to pathalogy lab for blood test? will that help?

Do not take any stress and do not give hope.

As we discussed before, sometimes conception was delayed and an early home urine pregnancy test can give false negative results.( maybe hcg concentration are low).

So in my opinion you should wait and get your repeat home urine pregnancy test on 17th April.

You can go for beta hcg blood test( quantitative) to see the level of hcg.

Hello doctor... i vomited twice today evening. Feeling too bloated. the same thing happened day before yesterday. What could be the reason??

Also can feel a watery discharge with odour and feel like i m gonna get my periods.

Also, can i do the beta hcg blood test tomorrow ( a day prior to my expected period).

Yes, you can go for your beta hcg test.

These symptoms can be due to an early signs of pregnancy or it can be due to hormonal imbalance.( premenstrual symptoms).

You can take antacid and antiemetic for your symptoms after consulting your doctor.

If vaginal discharge associated with strong odour and itching that can be a sign of infection otherwise watery vaginal discharge can also be an early sign of pregnancy.
