Question : I had acute pancreatitis with lipase 2500. I was alcoholic and got removed by gallbladder due to stones. My lipase got normal to 100 after treatment. After 3 months break, i had alcohol 4-5 times and checked lipase and it came to 185

Better stop consuming alcohol or you need to cut down to minimum

Hi,
so pancreatitis is related to alcohol ,better stop consuming alcohol .
Because once it lands up to chronicity there are much more complication like psudocysts ,calcification etc .
As of now dont worry regarding lipase elevation its negligible in view of previous history of pancreatitis.
