Question: I had a CXR done about 2 years ago and part of the information said that either the head or the tail of my pancreas was a little enlarged. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
probably not but it needs to be clarified

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

the chest X-ray is not the best way to assess the pancreas and 2 years later you have no problem (or you've mentioned none). Pancreatic problems (cancer) is not very likely but since you've got this report and the potential diagnosis is very serious, you'd better check it out. You can start with an ultrasound scan (which is not the best modality either but it's much better than the CXR). The best tests are either a CT scan or an MRI scan. The ultrasound scan is the less costly, easier to do and radiation free modality. The CT scan is less expensive and easier than the MRI scan but the latter is also radiation free.

I hope you find my comments helpful!

Kind Regards!
