Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Thyroid Nodules
Question: I just received my results from a ultrasound of my enlarged thyroid and 3 of the 4 nodules are solid but one is 3.2x2.4x1.6 solid, hypoechoic, lobulated, horizontal,capsular greaterthen central flow, course calcifications. what does this mean.

Three nodules are solid in nature where as fourth is mixed in nature.Fourth nodule is hypoechoic(dark),lobulated with coarse calcifications and central vascularity .
Calcifications are seen in both benign and malignant conditions.

You may need FNAC of nodule.FNAC can assess exact nature of nodule.
