Question : me sree,i have 36 year old,sometimes,i feel usually at night heart beat goes faster for few seconds and gets down normal,when i place hand over chest we can feel the fast XXXXXXX after sometimes it become normal.same had 3 yrs back,but at that time i was afraid and feels going died ,when i went to hospital,almost all checkups have been taken,including tmt,but all was normal.now some times(beetween 2-3 months the same feels and when relax it becomes down to normal,what may be the reason

I have read your query and understand the concern.

Feeling of fast heart beats when you put hand over chest is actually palpitations.

Heart palpitations could be due to anxiety or stress or anemia or gastric reflux or hiatus hernia or may be due to ectopic beats.

Since you have already done all the tests including EKG and TMT,then I will not think about the possibility of any heart problem now.

In an otherwise healthy individuals, it is mostly of anxiety or stress but provide me more information,

Do you feel shortness of breath or chest discomfort during rapid heart beat?
Any extra stress in life or gastric reflux issue?
Have you been tested for thyroid disorder?
Any history of past disease like asthma or blood pressure?
Let me know the tests which you have done so far if possible.
