Question: Hi
My brother in law happen to be homosexual. As far as he could confess he has been through this since 20 years if not more. Nobody ever knew about this before he gets married to my sister. They had 2 children and they were are leading a stable sex life.
The guy started lately to sinetimes loose erection with his wife fast and sometimes fail even to erect despite if using Cialis 20.. Yet sometimes things go smooth and successful.
As far as I learned, he is a passive partner in his XXXXXXX life...and thus the question is whether or not such practice could lead to impotency?!

Brief Answer:
It is quite possible but ...

Detailed Answer:
Dear Gaawan,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

From my last 10 years of experience in sexology I am of the opinion that this is quite possible for passive partners. To say in other words most passive partners in homosexual relationship have some kind of feminine characters and they enjoy in receiving sex while making relationship. In contrast they find it difficult to achieve erection in heterosexual relationship due to arousal of conflict in mind due to different way of sexuality.

In addition most of bisexuals have some dominance of either homosexuality or heterosexuality which manifests mostly after forty years of age. In case he is having dominance of homosexuality there is good possibility of not having proper performance in heterosexual relationship.

I do not think we can use the term impotency as biologically there is nothing happens irrespective of homosexual or heterosexual relationship.

So it can be said that homosexuality could be the reason for poor performance in heterosexual relationship but it is psychological and never a problem physically. It can be said that since physically there is no problem person fails to respond to cialis.

I hope this answers your question.

Thx for interacting. I have more questions:
1. The failure with wife is not the norm.. It happened only twice one of them was 3 hours after teeth strong anesthesia. Could it be?
2. Again and noting the success with wife for years.. Could Cialis help.
I believe his homo tendency is dominating... Psychologically

Brief Answer:
Rather than medication counseling can be a better option

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for reverting back to me.

If it is not a norm than we need to show less concern as occasional failure is norm in sexual life. Alike other situations of life inability to have erection on one or few occasions is never a problem provided there is no increase in problem over time.

I could not figure out your second question. It will be appropriate if you can reword your question.

Regarding Cilis I feel rather than medication counseling help in better way.

I hope this assists you further.
Thanks and regards.

thank you. My second question was inquiring if Cialis or Viagra could enhance the performance. and whether one of them is favored over the other. My ambiguous wordings were referring to the fact that failure in bed with wife was not the norm... I happened only twice in years.

a Third question... could teeth strong anesthesia affect erection over the following 3-4 hours after injection?

Brief Answer:
Anesthesia is unlikely cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

Both cialis and viagra act in similar fashion and regarding effects they are equally effective. The major difference among them is duration of action as cialis acts for 36-48 hours while viagra acts for just 4-6 hours.
They are effective when there is problem but as I said above psychological means are more effective.

Regarding anesthesia I do not feel it could be the cause of erection problem as nerves supplying teeth and penis are not much related.

I hope this assists you.
