Question: My wife has always had a deep need to be sexually satisfied and for the past 20 years I thought this was a blessing as truly love her and get more from helping her meet those needs than any other part of our sex, but for the last 8 months I have been informed that I have ED. No pills work - I start to get about 2/3 of an erection but it goes away when we start to have intercourse. She says its no big deal, but lately I have seen her get excited just talking to younger well fit men and she keeps saying we could try other things, but what

Doctor treating my anxiety disorder had blood work and kidney tests completed and no indication of heart disease or chronic kidney cancer. He said he would talk about other options next appt., but I only see him every 6 months an worried she well look elsewhere to be satisfied.

Brief Answer:
Hormonal replacement or prosthesis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
Since your blood testosterone level is low, first is replacement therapy with injection testosterone.
If that does not give sufficient response, then the best option is an implant prosthesis.
You should see an XXXXXXX or a urologist and he should be able to help you.
Best wishes,

Brief Answer:
If there is a family history of ca prostate prosthesis better

Detailed Answer:
You are only replacing a naturally occurring hormone that you lack. This is different from misusing testosterone for its anabolic effects.
You could check your PSA now and keep it as a baseline and check it periodically. If it rises, you should stop the testosterone.
You may feel less anxious with a prosthesis.

I will follow up with replacing hormone replacement. The though of prosthesis sound painful and worry about looks, and sensation. Same time have to admit if works and not abnormal looking and could increase size I know my wife would enjoy that.

Brief Answer:
Another option is intracavernous injection

Detailed Answer:
The prosthesis is implanted in the shaft of the penis. It may possible to increase the size. You can check it out with the surgeon.
You can also try an intracavernous injection treatment which may help you to have an erection when you inject. You can discuss this also with your urologist.
