Suggest Treatment For Erectile Dysfunction

Posted on Wed, 7 Jun 2017
Question: Hello Sir,

As per our last conversation and recommendation by you, i consulted a sexologist at my native before trying the SoS pills, the doctor advised me to go through a herbal unani course for around 4 months which should fix the problem permanently. He said the erectile dysfunction which i'm going through is due to lack of blood circulation in the veins and his treatment should solve the problem. I am not really sure, how Unani medicine works and if there are any side effects for it.

Could you please provide your inputs on this!!!

Thanks in advance..!!!

Brief Answer:
I'm not aware of unani drugs..

Detailed Answer:
Apologies for the late reply.

Honestly I'm not aware of unani drugs - it's effects or side effects. Did you undergo any tests before the doctor diagnosed with venous insufficiency?

not really.. no tests we're conducted. the only thing the doc did was - he asked me to cough hardly and asked to take deep breaths and while doing this he observed my penis. based on these findings he informed me about insufficient blood circulation.

Though I was not convinced with this, I told him that I'll discuss this with my partner and start his course.

Brief Answer:
May or may not be venous insufficiency...

Detailed Answer:
Though venous insufficiency is not uncommon if you are able to have good early morning erection and if you are able to masturbate and ejaculate without significant efforts then I'm not convinced with this diagnosis. That being said I respect your doctor's decision. You may try the suggested medications.

If you are not convinced with the current doctor you consulted I'll try and direct you to a better doctor. Please share your location.

thanks for your prompt response sir.
also, I was not able to put this into right terms earlier. but I also go through premature ejaculation even before starting intercourse. I'm not really sure if this is due to some weakness or one of the symptoms of ED.

Brief Answer:
Premature ejaculation needs to be treated also...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Do you have early morning erections?
Do you have problems with erections / early ejaculation while masturbation also?

Premature ejaculation can sometimes co-exist with erectile dysfunction. It is not due to weakness or any other organic problem. But treating both the problems simultaneously is essential for successful treatment. I am not sure you discussed about premature ejaculation too with your doctor. If not, I will recommend the following options:

1. Master and Johnson's technique: This involves stopping sexual activity squeezing the base of the penis just before you feel ejaculation. This should reduce the urge to ejaculate, prolong erection and restart sexual activity. You can repeat the cycle again.
2. Use of desensitizing agents like delay creams. It is available online. Alternatively there are some types of condoms which are smeared with desensitizing agents. You can search for these online or ask your pharmacist / chemist.
3. Some men are able to have a second erections after 20 mins to an hour after first ejaculation. If you are one of them, you can try sexual activity again. The second erection soon after first ejaculation lasts much longer than the first.

I recommend these techniques along with your medications and see if it helps your status.

yes early morning erections are totally fine. I don't easily ejaculate while masturbating but whenever I get into intercourse with my partner I ejaculate too early and once this happens I can't hold the erection any longer. I then need to wait for next 15-20 mins to get the erection back and start again. it's been difficult for me to maintain the penis thickness during the intercourse. Right now I'm not taking any medications.

Some more clarifications...

Detailed Answer:
It's good to know you have good early morning erections and ejaculations are normal during masturbation. I understand you said there is difficulty in maintaining penis thickness during intercourse. Do you have the same issue (maintaining penis thickness) while masturbation?

Hello,

i have not observed it carefully. but i think it should be the same. The bottom line here is as soon as i ejaculate my penis loses its erection and thickness. Then i need to wait for 15-20 mins to have the erection again, and even this second attempts finishes in just 1-2 mins, again i lose my erection/thickness. i'm not sure why i get ejaculated so early.... and this has happen each time i'm involved in an intercourse..

Brief Answer:
Premature ejaculation more likely than erectile dysfunction....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

What you describe is entirely about losing erection after ejaculation is entirely a normal phenomenon that occurs to all men. Unless one is on medications to keep penis erect, it goes flaccid after ejaculation - both during masturbation as well as during intercourse. The next time you indulge in masturbation, I request you to check for erection status. Do you feel erection or the thickness is poor before ejaculation.
If your answer is no, then what you have is premature ejaculation more than erectile dysfunction.
And if this assumption of mine is right, I don't think you could be suffering with venous insufficiency.

I suggest the aforementioned tips to treat premature ejaculation. To start with you can try using condom smeared with desensitizing agents / climax delay condoms. In addition, most men with premature ejaculation are able to have better control on ejaculation with women on top position. Try these options and see if you feel difference. Also important is that you spend quality time with foreplay and do not rush.

I understand you could be entirely confused at this point of time. But the last few follow ups has changed the way this discussion had gone from the beginning. We shall go step by step from here and get this sorted. I hope you have discussed your situation with your partner.
