Brief Answer:
gastroscopy is necessary

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Thank you for the query.

First of all you need to have gastroscopy done. Long lasting esophagus inflammation can lead to Barrets esophagus or even esophagus cancer. Gastroscopy is necessary to rule them out.
You also need long term treatment with acid blocking medicines in high dosages. Please ask your doctor for proper prescription.

In a neanwhile you should avoid fatty foods, coffee, chocolate, orange juice.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.

Regards
