Question: I have advanced sarcoidosis. My coughing and spitting up clear mucus has increased fourfold in last few months Do not have any idea why the increase, especially of the clear mucus which has increased from 1 to 2 Tablespoons---and not every day---to 1/3 to 1/2 cup every day. .

I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion, you might have worsened sarcoidosis.
Sarcoidosis may worsened over time. And you are having worsening cough and expectoration. This can be the symptoms of worsening sarcoidosis.
So better to get done
1. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test)
2. HRCT thorax.
PFT will tell you about functional defect of lung,whether it is increased or not.
HRCT will also tell you about increasing in fibrosis or not.

1. What were your previous PFT results?
2. How was your last HRCT report?
