Question : Hi... Im 42 years of age and have suffered from endometriosis for last 20 years and was on danazol 600 for about 4 years and thereafter on Lupride injections and Duphaston tablets. I have suffered severe hair loss over this time. Recently i have had a hysterectomy and my hair fall really increased. I touch my hand to my head and it is full of hair. Though the doctors say that if i begin with the Hormone Replacement Therapy in six months, my hair loss will stop. But i have started getting bald from the front sides. Kindly advise if i can use follica or rogaine for treatment alongwith any tablets or shampoos. Im also getting dandruff due to very dry scalp so what should i use for that.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Stress induced hair loss
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
You have developed stress induced hair loss.
It is reversible.
Your hair will regrow once all medication is complete however it is better to use medication to control further loss.
You can use rogain solution along with follihair tablets.
These are safe and effective and won't interact with other medication.
For dandruff use ketoconazole shampoo once a week.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.

Dear Doctor,
All my follow up medications have been stopped post hysterctomy. Moreover, I was also suggested Mintop Forte solution alongwith follica solution by someone. What is more effective and better? Rogaine or Mintop Forte? Please advise. How are the foolihair tablets to be taken and for how long can I take them without any side effects?
Thank you

Brief Answer:
It is safe
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the follow up.
Rogaine and Mintop are same.
Both contain minoxidil, just the company name varies.
You can use any of these.
Follihair is to be taken daily after dinner .
Both minoxidil and follihair needs to be continued for at least 6 months.
Don't worry there are no side effects.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you
