Question : Hi, I'm 26 years old male and I'm suffering from a excessive mucous formation, It has been a year now and it has become a continuous problem, after every short span I need to spit the mucous out else once the mucous enters the throat I continue coughing. It get relaxed once i spit the mucus out. Just to give a brief about me,

As per your clinical history it appears that you are having allergic postnasal discharge .
If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you
avoid allergens which causes you sneezing & increase mucous production like dust , house mite , etc.
You need to continue anti allergy treatment till allergy subside like Montek LC .Allergy can be controlled but difficult to cure .
I would also advice you Plenty of fluids & Steam Inhalation twice daily.

Is it a problem that I need to carry for rest of my life or is there a treatment for it. also pls let me know if I need to visit a doctor whom should I be approaching a ENT specialist or a chest specialist. Also will immunoglobulin test will help it further to understand the issue.

You need to approach ENT specialist . If your allergy already progress into asthma then you need to visit both. You need to control allergy at early stage otherwise it will precedes into chest related problems.
