Question : I have very little energy and find it difficult to stay awake. In the past I have had 5 by passes and 2 strokes.
I look healthy and younger than my 81years. I take a lot of prescription drugs. Any idea what's wrong with me. Thanks. XXXX

Thanks for your query.

You are on lot of drugs. Some of them like tramadol can cause excessive sleepiness. You can discuss with your doc regarding if it can be changed. If cardiac function is low, that can also cause this type of problem.

Otherwise we need to look at hormonal causes like thyroid, low hemoglobin, etc by routine blood tests because these are easily treatable.
