Brief Answer:
likely soft tissue injury

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pain can be due to muscular and other soft tissue damage or damage to bones, in this case the ribs.

It is unlikely that any significant bony injury occurred, if there was any injury to the ribs , it would have been minor at most and only bruising.

This means that the pain is related to muscular and soft tissue injury.

Pain can reach the maximum level 2 to 3 days after an injury. It can last 1 to 2 weeks in some cases.

In addition to continuation of the regular use of aleve, you may want to consider the following:

(1) would need to rest the area as much as possible, this would mean restricting any movement that would affect this area

(2)warm compresses- apply for 10 to 15 minutes, 2 to 3 times daily

The pain should improve and should resolve within 1 to 2 weeks, in many cases before this time.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Brief Answer:
take pain killer shortly before

Detailed Answer:
HI

Sorry about the late reply

You may want to take your pain med about 1/2 hour to 45 mins before the flight so that it would be at XXXXXXX level when you are flying.

Since paracetamol is in a different family of pain killers , you can consider taking a few in flight with you if possible so that you can use if there is any break through pain

Please feel free to ask anything else
