The eye doesn't hurt as much but occassionally. I now have more pain on that side off the face in the jawline. They gave me lorztab even though I told them I was allergic to it. I took them for several days because the pain from the eye. It lowered my immune system alot.I didn't know for sure the time of the assualt and battery did I blackout or not for sure did I blackout, I told the doctor I probably did,but now I am even more sure I did. What that make a different in the eye of the doctor or how things should be handle moving forward. I seem to have caught something over the last week and a half. I have had a fever for the last three days burt it seems jike my fever has gotten better just feel a little sluggish where I had been weak several days ago. I also notice that after the cut across the eye I have not been able to make things as well as I once could when looking at something that isn't weell lighted abd my deoth perception eeems to be off. I still get occassional pain in the eye and seems like I cann't see as good out the other eye that wasn't hit, I have to strain a little more with it now to see what I once could see easier. I also have more problem sleeping at night now. wHAT COULD THE DOCTOR prescribe for pain other than what was prescribed over the counter isn't working as well and also for sleep and the cold I assume I have. Brief Answer:
Analgesic drugs are required for pain relief.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having pain in the eye and blurred vision following injury which was caused by assault.
You were given Tab. Lortab which is a analgesic.

First you need eye examination to look for eye injury and treatment of the same. The treatment is usually done by the use of antibiotic eye drops in case of corneal injury to prevent infection. Once the injury starts healing artificial tears are prescribed to assist in faster healing of the injury.

Along with this analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs like diclofenac are usually prescribed for pain relief.
Since you are also having pain along the jaw line in the face, this needs to be examined to look for any injury to the bone preferably by X-ray or other radiological investigations.
Fever and cold are not related to your injury and they can be because of infection. This requires treatment by the use of decongestant drugs, antipyretic drugs like paracetamol and antibiotics for treatment of infection.

Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor first for eye examination to look for the type of injury and treatment accordingly.

Hope the information is helpful to you.
Do get back to me with the examination reports.

Thank you
With regards
