Suggest Treatment For Eyelid Contact Dermatitis

Question: I have been getting eyelash extensions for 2 years. I recently had, what seems to be, an allergic reaction to either the tape or glue. My eye lids swelled up, turned red, burned, and itched. I have some Mupirocin 2% ointment and Triamcinolone 0.1% in my medicine cabinet. Would any of these work to treat the reaction? I also took Benadryl and it helped a little, but not enough.

Brief Answer:
Triamcinolone works

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You seem to have local acute contact dermatitis.
Triamcinolone should work on mild cases. You may try to see the improvement in 48 hours else you need oral steroid medications. We also try calcineurin inhibitors like Pimecrolimus which is not over the counter drug.

You can take ADVIL 200mg along with the cream, they help in swelling and redness.

Hope this answers.
