Question : I am experiencing continueos eye flutter in my left eye. What causes this? Should I consult with my eye doctor? My e-mail is YYYY@YYYY .
Brief Answer:
eye or eyelid
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If the flutter is in the eyelid then this can be from muscle spasms. Muscle spasms are often caused by dehydration or lack of vitamins. For that you should drink at least 2 liters of water daily and avoid caffeine and alcohol. Adding a multivitamin/multimineral could be helpful as well..
If it is the actual eyeball that is fluttering then that is a problem with the muscles controlling the eye and in that case I suggest that you see an ophthalmologist for evaluation.
