Brief Answer:
moisturizer, mild topical steroid, doxycycline

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Facial dermatitis can be due to different possible causes but most commonly allergic reaction or contact irritation to an environmental allergen or medication or food.

Contact irritation means that contact with the agent and the skin causes the reaction.

Treatment: (1) use a moisturizing agent . Keeping the skin moist would help , dry skin is more likely to be irritated

(2) use a mild topical steroid such as hydrocortisone which can be obtained over the counter. This can be used twice a day, using the smallest amount needed.

If a stronger one is needed, your doctor will prescribe it for you.

(3)doxycycline is also commonly used to help with skin lesions. If the moisturizer and mild steroid is not enough then this can be added

(4)you may also want to identify if there is a particular causative agent that needs to be eliminated

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Answered by Dr. Michelle Gibson James (9 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
in a different family of drugs

Detailed Answer:
HI

Doxycycline is in the family of drugs called tetracycline, it is not one of the antibiotics in the sulfa family.
If you have a history of reaction to this as well, it should not be used .
