Brief Answer:
Need close monitoring and evaluation...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

What you describe are classical symptoms of upper respiratory infection. Fatigue as well as fever are suggestive of a viral infection. However this type of infection can soon change into a bacterial one.

At this point of time, I suggest the following options:
1. Warm water gargles. A teaspoon of salt or crushed disprin tablets may be added to a glass of warm water before gargling. Gargling needs to be continued 3-4 times a day.
2. Paracetamol tablets available over the counter in form of tab dolo 650mg should be taken 3 times a day.
3. In addition, I will also recommend drinking plenty of fluids. Eat fruits, vegetables and soft palatable diet. Avoid spicy food. Avoid cold and refrigerated products.

It is important that we closely monitor your symptoms. If at any point of time should the pain worsen or you find immense difficulty to swallow, you should soon visit a doctor for local examination. Acute tonsillitis or acute pharyngitis secondary to bacterial / streptococcal infection needs to be ruled out.

Hope this information is informative. Let me know if you need further instructions.
