Suggest Treatment For Fatigue And Vague Patches In Vision

Question: Hi, thank you. For about a week I have a vague irregularly-shaped dark area, small, in my right visual field. It is semi-transparent and only really noticeable when I look at something white after opening my eyes. I have marked fatigue for a few days, worst last Tuesday, and today while driving I had a fleeting, recurrent sharp pain in my head at the back of my right eye. The pain recurred over a period of about 20 minutes in the earlier part of the day while driving and again once this evening while driving back. I have never had it before. I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Retinal pathology likely

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Healthcaremagic. Please visit an ophthalmologist immediately so that he would be able to look inside your eye and examine for some probable retinal pathology including retinal detachment, which could be causing these problems. Also note that if neglected, it could cause blindness.
