Question : Fatigued, depressed, severe headaches (not at all usual), entire body aches ( on scale 10 the worst ) especially after laying down, no bowel movements for days, very bloated, poor vision ( even with prescription contacts), poor circulation ( had Adema, calf’s extremely white, veins and cellulite still) treatments failed. also I appear to be pale all over ( face too) on some days.
I don’t feel the slight flu like symptoms and nausea that I experienced with Lyme disease. Also, did not have any of these crucial headaches with Lyme.
I often take breaks because I feel the urgent need to lay down, bend over sink or table , kneel on floor, squat. Irregular sleep pattern, itchy skin and head (almost painful), lots of unusual bruising, menstrual period extremely off schedule( skipped 2 and 3 and 2 months in a row now. but surprisingly much less pain that was involved with it ,
I have had nearly every blood test done and was diagnosed “ idiotic something “
They did discover and treat Lyme disease last September. blood test after treatment for that was negative. But I still feel the same symptoms even worse and developed new ones that aren’t related to Lyme as far as I know.
I have a history and am treated for these illnesses as follows (5 years plus):
Panic and Paranoia (Xanax 1 mg/night )
Depression (Prozac 40mg/morning)
RLS (Pramipexole 1.25 mg/ night)
TICS ( Haldol 2 mg/night )
Fibromyalgia ( Gabepentine 300 mg/ morning, 300mg/night
I take migraine tablets almost every other day
And I often have to add and switch between Tylenol and Ibuprofen for pain. ( I feel as if I’ve worked out too much kind of muscle pain and neck and back ache, occasionally swollen fingers and other parts of body upon waking in the morning.
I take Probiotics, multi vitamin on daily bases

Along with the Lyme Disease diagnosis and it’s research ( blood test etc) back in September last year these conditions were discovered as well
Neuropathy (big right toe is numb)
My MRI showed white spots in brain but was told nothing serious, that it’s age related.
Chronic neck and back pain and some Arthritis diagnosed pain management
Asthma (inhaler occasionally ) ( extremely unusually allergic to dogs (300) cats (200) and soiser grass (100) )

I don’t exercise because I have no drive or energy
( I was a full time Choreographer) very driven and outgoing
Got approved for Disability in 2014 after already existing illnesses the then TICS and Fibromyalgia disabled me from work completely. I spend most of my days laying or leaning around with no desire for anything.
I can stay up for 2 days in a row or not be able to get out of bed due to pain and fatigue for 3. I never know when “ it” hits me.
My mood swings are up and down drastically
I have no sex drive
I don’t go out or socialize in public anymore
I do all my shopping and business over the internet
I may go outdoors twice a week to pick up items not delivered.
Everything seems like a huge task to me and I therefore don’t pursue
The only entertainment for myself I maintained but tremendously reduced is playing cards online.
Overall i am nothing I used to be. I know everything is wrong but I don’t know how to find the strength or desire to do something about it. I gave up on seeing doctors and have cancelled or even not been able to make it to my appointments due to being in pain or lack of energy
I feel so sluggish, sad that I’m out of endurance or craving for absolutely anything and feel very weird by having to take those constant rests. I can not get anything done anymore (skip showers even or don’t care about my appearance) and the agonizing pain all over me and my body makes me wish I would die already. I am not suicidal by any means tho. I speak to my Psychiatrist every 3 months (17 years)
And see my Neurologist every 6 months. (10 years)
Every other test but the illnesses I was diagnosed with recently was within normal range. I was told however to consider quit smoking due to early signs of COPD (very very little)
I’m a 45 year old Woman, 5’5 tall, $145 lbs

i forgot to mention that i easily and quicly can fall asleep when driving a car, sitting in waiting room or watch tv. also that i try to make myself do chores and just when ive done a couple of minutes of preparation to clean something i get the urge to lay down and i sometimes just lay there with an empty feeling and wondering why that just happened. but unable whatsoever to get back up and finish. it takes me several days sometimes weeks to finish something
whenever i get able to get up again i ache so much i often crawl slowly to my destination. i stretch and eat healthy but not much. i drink more caffeine than water. i do not drink alcohol at all. i have a chocolate lab. i dont live in a stressful home. i would like to know what is going on with me and what the treatment could be.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Some adjustments may be done to improve.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

All your diagnoses seem to affect your condition and worsen it to a certain degree, but, the main illness that needs to be controlled and that is more probably responsible for your current status is depression.

Drug treatments for all your conditions seem to be the right ones, anyway, anew antidepressant may be tried instead of Prozac.

I think duloxetine may be more of help in the direction of depression and nerve pain.

Vitamin B complex also is necessary as a supplement for a better functioning of the nervous system.

Besides that, socializing and counseling together with behavioral therapy is necessary.

I think you need a Psychologist for this purpose.

Depression and neuropathy may also be linked to Lyme disease, so, there is hope for improvement after correct treatment of Lyme.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
