Question: I am a 66 year old female smoker, moderate drinker. Take trazadone for sleeping and fosamax for osteoporosis. Feeling fatigue, dizziness, nausea, some unexpected shortness of breath. Six months ago had pneumonia and for the first time sinusitis. As a result some loss of hearing in right ear. Just moved to another state so there is some added stress.

Brief Answer:
Consult an Expert as advised below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Your symptoms can be attributed to -
-Middle ear/internal ear infection following your old attack of sinus infection associated with dizziness, giddiness, nausea with shortness of breath due to anxiety disorder OR from bronchitis complaints. Heart symptoms in few cases (following old attack of pneumonia)

-Alternatively allergic tendency can lead to sinus infection & all the symptom complex as a result with fresh allergic attack.

In this context you are advised to consult an
E N.T. doctor for through ear check up along with assessment of respiratory system for possible bronchitis.
Treatment of problem revealed specifically would reduce fatigue, dizziness nausea (ear symptoms) along with secondary anxiety and shortness of breath OR bronchitis (allergic)too.

-In case short breathing is associated with some palpitations or chest pain. You should rush to ER for excluding possible heart problem.

* Till you can meet the specialist. Simple exercise of yawning or swallowing / over the counter decongestant and antiallergic combination (like Sinarest) and tablet Derriphylline orally would offer some relief.

-Do not try to manage blocked ear sensation with washing or picking /cleaning ear with stick.

I hope that answers your query. Any follow up query is welcome.

Thanks.
