Question : I had two doses of z-parks for a sinus infection about two weeks ago. I am now very tired and no energy and I used to be a very active person. Now I have trouble getting out of bed and going to work. Did the anti-biopics have anything to do with my tiredness ?
Brief Answer:
probably leftovers from the infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I doubt that the antibiotic still causes fatigue two weeks later. It's probably the lasting effect of infections like influenza that may cause serious tiredness even after their acute effects wear off. If this lack of energy persists or is very serious you should check (with your doctor) your hematocrit and electrolytes just in case the infection caused anemia or electrolyte disorders (which would not be very unusual).
