Brief Answer:
Lower respiratory tract infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

The fact that he has fever associated with cough indicates that he is suffering from a lower respiratory tract infection. It might not be related to eosinophilia. Here is how you should go about it

1. Keep him warm and give him only warm food and beverages. Avoid cold food
2. Avoid milk and milk products
3. I suggest tab levocetrizine twice a day for cough.
4. In diabetic patients I usually start antibiotics early, I recommend tab azithromycin once a day before food for 3 days
5. Tab Paracetamol three times a day for fever

If the fever and cough increases then please take him to a doctor for blood tests and a chest x ray.

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
