Brief Answer:
Use paracetamol to bring down fever. Give tepid sponging. Some antiallergic

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Most often fever in children is caused due to certain viruses. But if you reside in a malaria endemic region, it might be preferrable to get the blood tested for malaria. The fever needs to be kept in control by the use of paracetamol or tepid sponging. Some antiallergic like levocetirizine may be given once daily for 3 or 4 days. Other than that, what you are doing is fine.

Unless the child grows lethargic, I would not worry. But in case things do not seem to be going fine, it might be reasonable to visit a doctor and get the child assessed.

Hope that helps.
