Question: My wife is having fever during day time from 11 am to 9 pm between 98 to 99.4 for the last 40 days after viral fever. Her blood test for malaria typhoid cbc urine all normal excep ESR 46. She had take antibiotic course twice. This behavior happen during earlier also ie last year for 3 month and earlier years also 3-4 times. During fever she is having body pain headache uneasyness

First of all , I need to know whether the temperature is checked in mouth or armpit, because a temperature of 99.5 measure in mouth is normal.

As of ESR is concerned , it is a non specific parameter. It can get elevated in many conditions , from simple to serious. The most likely cause in your wife's case is due to her fever/infection. It will come down in 2-3 weeks .

Coming to body pain and weakness , it is usual following infection . It can last from 2 weeks to 2 months , just let her eat well , more of fruits. If pain is bothering her she can use Combiflam as and when required .
