Brief Answer:
Gurgling with lukewarm water should provide relief.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. The raspy throat could be due to a viral or a bacterial infection. Irrespective of treatment with antibiotics, it usually takes 5-7 days to resolve. But the chills and rigors worry me. Chills are also associated with malaria (if it is endemic in your area) or urinary tract infections. My suggestions for you would be:
* Gurgle with lukewarm water.
* Get your blood checked for routine counts and malaria parasite
* Get a urine routine microscopy and culture sensitivity done.
* Take paracetamol or acetaminophen if you have temperature.

Get back to me with the results and I would guide you accordingly.
