Brief Answer:
Try antihistamine like cetrizine
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Giving crocin or paracetamol is fine.
I would also prescribe antihistamine like cetrizine to such patients in my clinic. I usually prescribe around 2.5 ml twice daily for 2 to 3 days.
If due to Allergy or viral infection, it may respond.
I would suggest you to upload some pictures of the eyes if possible to understand better.
If irritation increases or eyes become red or with discharge , consult your Pediatrician or opthalmologist to rule out conjunctivitis. This may need special eye drops only after clinical examination.
Wishing your child good health and speedy recovery.

Dr Arun
