Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
From the history you have given me it looks like your child is suffering from an upper respiratory tract infection. Here is how you should go about it
1. Tab Tylenol is the ideal drug for fever. It can be taken three times daily after food
2. Betadine gargles can be done three times daily for good relief of symptoms. If Betadine is not tolerated warm salt water will do just fine
3. If fever does not subside in 48 hours then I suggest antibiotics like tab amox with clavulunate three times daily for 5 days
4. Avoid cold beverages and cold food items
5. keep her warm at all times
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
Regards
and sir for ur request she my wife not child

Hello
I am sorry for the misconception
Tab Tylenol can be given, it popularly comes as dolo 650. It safe to be taken upto 4 times a day but 3 times is more than enough. It brings down the fever and pain, it safe for the kidneys and has minimum gastric effects

Hello
Thanks for getting back
You have raised a very good question. Strictly speaking temperature more than 99.7 is considerd fever but this temperature is rectal temperature and we usually don't check rectal temperature, we either check in arm pits or oral which is most of the times lower than rectal temperature
So a person above 99 degree with symptoms of feverishness and signs of infection is said to have fever. Your wife is feverish and she has a focus of infection so it is recommended to treat with paracetamol
