Question : I have developed fingernail fungus. What do I do about getting rid of it?
Brief Answer:
Antifungals
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query
For the treatment of fungus, I would ofcourse suggest an antifungal agent like fluconazole. This medicine is available in most countries as tablet as well as topical form.
I would therefore suggest that you try taking some tablets of fluconazole. With this you can also apply the cream, especially at the junction between the nail and the skin.
Also in a healthy individual, fungal infections are quite uncommon. Therefore, I would suggest checking the sugar levels and the thyroid levels. these are 2 conditions where the fungal infections are common.
Best of luck
