Brief Answer:
She might be having URTI and lung infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
Flu is viral upper respiratory tract infection ( URTI ).
And flammy cough is suggestive of mucus expectation. It is seen with either bronchitis or lung infection ( pneumonia ).
In old age , both are common after viral URTI.
And both can give temperature.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system.
2. Chest x ray.
3. PFT ( pulmonary function test ).
Chest x ray is needed to rule out lung infection.
PFT is needed to rule out bronchitis.
So you are having either bronchitis or lung infection.
Hope I have solved your query .
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.
