Question: Hi sir,

Good morning.
My mother "XXXX" , when she press her leg muscle it remain pressed for a while and after 10 seconds the muscle only regain its natural shape.

I have attached the photo image for your reference.

Age: 45
Sex: female
Medical history: treated for thyroid 10 years ago.
Treated for knee pain 3 years ago.
Currently undergoing no medical condition.

1 in 2 month high blood pressure (occasionally)- takes blood pressure medicine at that time only.

This condition is called pitting edema

Hello,
I have studied your case. This condition is called pitting edema and due to accumulation of fluid in the legs. It can be due to following causes.
1.High blood pressure
2.Uncontrolled thyroid.
I would recommend you to follow these advises.
1.Get her blood pressure checkup. If their is high bp then she needs to change her medication according to that.
2.get following blood tests.
1.Urea and creatinine level
2.Blood sugar and T3,T4 and TSH level
If any of above mentioned test is not normal then she needs treatment for that . I hope this answer will be useful for you.Let me know if their is any other followup questions.
