I am Dr Saad Sultan and will be answering your query. I have read and understood your health concerns.
Do you ha e diarrhoea? Any blood in stools? Any fever?
As far as your symptoms are concerned it appears food poisoning. You should stay calm. As you are improving and symptoms have improved so no need to panic.
At least meet your physician once so that you can be assessed for dehydration and other signs. If I am your attending physician I will recommend antibiotics from quinolines group like ciprofloxacin along with probiotics.
Stay calm and use ORS and acetaminophen if fever there.
Hope it helps

In 2014 when I a similar issue, my PCP prescribed DIPHEN /ATROPINE TAB (Take As Directed) and SULFAMETHOXAZOLE-TMP DS TABLET (Take 1 Tablet By Mouth Twice A Day)

Should I get these two refilled?

Based upon your history , if I was your attending physician I will prescribe you Tab . CIPROFLOXACIN 500mg two times daily after meals. Along with it , Cap. Omeprazole 40 mg before breakfast. I will prescribe it for five days ...

Sulfamethooxazole TMP is not a good option in this setting.

Its not about the type of food, it's about practising guidelines. As far as coverage of microbes are concerned both agents cover the bugs which causes infection of Gastrointestinal tract. The side effects and efficacy are different. Ciprofloxacin has got good efficacy with less side effects. The other agent has got side effects like rash and XXXXXXX XXXXXXX syndrome.
Hope it clears things.
