Question: I got a small, hollow plastic ball stuck in my anus. I can't go to a hospital and I've trued pooping it out. Will I poop it out eventually, and how can I help it come out on its own?

Brief Answer:
Please do not feel embarrassed to seek medical attention

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

Sorry to hear about your problem with the hollow plastic ball.

There are many people like you who accidentally get something like a ball stuck in the anus and then have difficulty getting it out.

The passage of the ball to the exterior on its own depends on the location and size of the ball.

In my opinion you can try one attempt at trying to poop out. If it does not happen then please go to the ER immediately.

Please do not try to reach it because it can damage your bowel and push the ball further up the bowel.

As doctors we see many people coming with problems like the one you have and the ball can be removed in the hospital with least pain and discomfort. Please do not feel embarrassed to seek medical attention.

Regards,
