Brief Answer:
First need to know the cause of bad smell

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.

As far as the bad breath is considered, it can be because of the gum infection secondary to deposits. The other possible cause can be respiratory tract infections or food lodgment secondary to decayed teeth. Regarding the bleeding gums, it is because of gum infection. So consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. You can get your teeth cleaned (scaling).

You can use mouth wash containing chlorhexidine.

If decayed teeth are there, then it has to be restored.
Maintain oral hygiene by brushing your teeth twice daily. Rinse your mouth soon after eating anything.
I hope my answer will help you. Take care.

Two more queries pl.

1) Could you give names of good mouth washes that can be used on daily basis.
2) One of my lower jaw teeth was removed few years back. Is it necessary to replace with a new tooth or can I leave it as it is as I don't have any problem.

Thanks,
XXXX.

Brief Answer:
Mouth wash, prosthesis

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.

It is unethical to prescribe the mouth wash trade name but considering your problem, if i am your treating doctor I would have suggested mouth wash like nitrahex or chlohex.

Regarding your missing teeth, it is better to replace the missing teeth (prosthesis) as early as possible following tooth removal, because, the adjacent and opposing teeth might drift to the space created by the extracted tooth. So once this space is closed, even if you want to replace in future, it is not possible. So consult an oral physician and get it treated.

I hope my answer will help you, take care.
