Question : I am experiencing frequent painful urination, with dis colored urine and pink tinge like blood when wiping. Assuming UTI. What is the recommended antibiotic? 62 y/o , 123 lbs, 5'6" YYYY@YYYY

Your symptoms are suggestive of a possible UTI. I will recommend that you drink much water and take any of the following drugs for 5days.

1. Ciprofloxacine 500mg twice daily
2. Bactrim 960mg twice daily for 5days.
