Dear Mr XXXXXXX
Frequent Urination in child, its important to consider two possibility
1. Balonoposthitis
2. Urinary Tract Infection
Children do have Physiological Phimosis( Skin over the glans does not go back, due to skin adherent to glans) till 2 years of age. It leads to accumulation of whitish secretion under the skin known as smegma which could cause Balanoposthitis which could sometimes lead to increase in frequency of urination.
I would suggest you the following for your kid
1. Urine examination: Urine routine and microscopy examination to rule out Urinary tract infection.
2. Ultrasound abdomen.
In the absence of fever and clear non foul smelling urine there is no cause for concern.
I assume that your child is not circumcised. I would suggest you the following which will definitely be helpful
1. Hot Seitz Bath: Add Handful of common table salt to a tub of lukewarm water. Make the baby sit in it for 15 to 20 minutes before giving bath to baby.
I would suggest you to get back to me with the reports. Also let me know if you need any further guidance.
Wishing you and your family a very happy and healthy life.
Take Care
