Question : Hi Doctor,
I have been using pilogro(Minoxidil 5%) since 4 months as adviced by dermatologist for my frontal hair thinning. My hairline had already receeded a great deal on the sides already, before I started it.Now After 4 months I am noticing severe shedding(Initially I did not notice shedding as told). Also before, hair afted it shed, I used to notice it had thick white bulb attached at the bottom. Now, when I see, the white bulb has shrinked a great deal and reduced in size.Does this mean I am thinning a lot? Also my scalp is begining to be visible on my frontal side which is really embarrasing? I am really confused whether I should continue using Pilogro or not? Please advise?

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern very well.
You are basically experiencing minoxidil shedding phase which generally lasts for around 4 months. During this period hair follicles are in resting state and then they return to growth state which produces thicker and healthier hair.
I hope by another 1-2 months, you should have good growth of hair.
Once you get your hair back, you should use this product for 6-12 months, as per the directions of your treating doctor.
I advise you to carry on with minoxidil.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
