Question : I have tonsil fungus in 2 toes. Have been treating it with tea tree oil, but that is not doing much. My doctor says my other options are surgery or a powerful drug the might harm my liver. Don't like either of those ideas. Any tips?

Brief Answer:
surgery better option

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Well, there is no purpose of any medications in these types of infections since fungal infections are commonly refracter and chronic. Surgery is minor procedure done under local anasthesia where part of nail is removed and it is then meticuosly cleaned under it. You dont need to be afraid of it. Local agents or oral antifungic in most cases dont lead to complete cure. WIsh you good health. Regards
