Suggest Treatment For Fungal Infection Of Skin

Question: Hello Doctor,
This is in continuation with my earlier question.
Firstly, thanks for your detailed explanation and suggestions.
I took Zimig tablets (7 day course) and started using Zole-f ointment. It is slightly more than a week. I think 90% of the problem is solved. Now, I dont see any bumps or serious redness or irritation but the skin colour in that region is still grey in colour near the borders.
I have the following questions:
Will the colour in that region change to normal colour and if likely by when?
How long should I use the ointment?
From when should I start the Clotrimazole Dusting powder?
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,

Brief Answer:
Fungal infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thank you for following it up.
You should continue with the oral treatment for 1 month.
You may stop the topical cream after 2 weeks since it contains a potent steroid and is not recommended for continuous use for more than 2 weeks. You may substitute it with a plain antifungal e.g miconazole or clotrimazole cream for another 2 weeks. Thereafter you may use dusting powder
The dark color is due to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is common in fungal infections in the groin region. It will resolve gradually.
