Question : I recently found I have a fungus on my toenail from a pedicure. However, when we removed the polish I have a very specific brown vertical line with a white line down the middle. All pictures I have seen that look like my nail say cancer. Could my fungus look like that? Haven't see any pictures that are consistent, only the cancer ones. :-(
Brief Answer:
Possible fungal infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam.
This picture resembles the fungal infection possibly.
Instead of Topical Lamisil, I generally recommend oral pills of Terbinafine 250 mg once a day for 12 weeks for complete clearance of infection.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.
Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.
