Suggest Treatment For Gastritis And Upper Abdominal Pain

default
Posted on Fri, 5 Dec 2014
Question: Im male, 32 years of age. The gas started rather suddenly in may of last year, and was followed eventually by indegestion, acid reflux, etc. on advice of a relative, i began taking Pearls which knocked out 90% of the gas within an hour of the first dose. i visited my doctor in sept of 2013 and he indicated i had gastritis on describing my symptoms, and prescribed omeprazel, which ive been taking for a year now. It helped dramatically with the abdominal pain for about six months, then in may this year started having some constipation which lasted a few weeks, with only small amounts of stool every day or two. This turned to voluminous loose stools, which got more regular for a while. In the last 2-3 months, I have recently had an increase in gas (still taking pearls daily), with bouts of soft and loose stools, sometimes with undigested matter (carrots, blueberry skins). I generally do not evacuate more than 3 and sometimes 4 times per day. Occasionally i get very small balls of matter, other times a large volume of loose material. I have intermittent mild upper abdominal pain that generally is more pronounced on an empty stomach. I also have gurgling noises occasionally in the upper abdomen, typically late morning and occasionally in the afternoon. Nothing wakes me up or the like, but it is becoming irritating. Thank you for your help.
