Question: My daughter, 31 years old, has gastroprorecis (sp) and has recently been dx with Valley Fever. This am she is vomiting ( thought to be from the gastro ) but for the first time she is vomiting up small amounts of what we this is blood. What is our next step, take her to the ER, ect.
Brief Answer:
Vist ER.Get UGIE
Detailed Answer:
Hi Madam,
I understand your concern.
Yes certainly any blood mixed vomitus has to be carefully evaluated.
You need to get blood investigations like Hb and HCT.
Upper GI endoscopy/UGIE is the most important investigation need in her case, since it localizes the source of bleed.
I advise you to visit ER at the earliest.
Further management is based on the test results.
Thank you.
