Brief Answer:
Genital herpes should have many pimples grouped together that then scab out

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to healthcare magic.com. Thank you for the picture unfortunately the Resolution is not providing me with a detail I am looking for. In any event, genital herpes and would begin with grouped vesicles meaning pimples grouped together which most of the time a itchy. They could be painful at times. The best way to put this to rest is to just go in and have a blood test where they will check for the herpes virus. I hope this helps out. If you would rather please take a better picture. Like any Dr. will tell you, if you have any concerns of an STD it is probably a good time to go have yourself tested for that particular concern and other sexually transmitted diseases.

Thank you for the information. The area is not itchy and does not have a cluster of bumps. Neither does it look like a blister. I will go get tested, but I just want to get an indication as best I can to calm my nerves. I have attached a better pic. Any insight is appreciated.

Brief Answer:
That really looks like herpertic lesion.

Detailed Answer:
It does look like herpes, however, at the same time it could be just a frictional burn as you have stated, the problem with herpes is that it can present quite a variety of ways and depends on the individuals immune system, there are patients who never get any serious issues with it, others will be so sick they think that they are dying, with fevers and body aches, so I am sorry after looking at this second picture I am afraid it could be herpes, but I will be very happy for you to have a negative blood test. Sorry for the uncertain news.
